Third week~
I am impressed by the Google's search functions because when I search for information regarding my topic I can easily find the information by typing in the correct keyword that focus on the topic that I am searching. By using the advance search features I can easily find the information I am looking for without having the search through tonnes of not related stuffs which saved alot of time for me especially when the deadlines are close.
I feel quite excited and worried when I am participating in discussion forum because sometimes the thing that I post may not be correct and people will be harsh with their post. However, it is exciting because when I post something that I feel that I am correct and the thoughts of people praising me. In my opinion, it is helpful to a certain extent that it is helpful for my research. Stuffs in the discussion forum will have views about the topic that I will never thought of and it can also broaden my views about that topic. I feel anxious when talking to others people but after a while the feeling fades because I am discussing a topic that I am interested in and talking with someone with the same interest will spark even more interest.
Citation is needed because the information that I took is not mine and I must give credit and acknowledgement to the source. If I did not cite properly it will cause me to plagiarize which is a crime. I think acknowledging the source is very important cause if someone took the information that I took years to compile and say it was his of course I will not feel good but if someone acknowledged my work I will feel happy. Bibliography is also needed because the topic that I write may only be a summary and people who are interested may want to read up more about the topic and when I write a bibliography then people will find the information which I took easily.
