The significant learning experience that I have while working in the group is that the group often will have different opinion and from there we will learn more from each other as everyone. I also learn how to cooperate with my group-mates and work with different types of people.
As an indivdual contributor, the expereience that I have gain is that it is much harder to contribute alone then in a group. It is also very fun and new experience as I never really contribute to most of the forums or stuff like that.
The one most challenging experience that I had is teaming up with people who does not help or even contribute to the process and sometimes it is very annoying as they claim the credit as well.
The advice that I would give is remember to blog in class because when you reach back home after lesson most likely you will forget what you did and will have a hard time writing this blog.
Yeah I will use wiki for research, most of the time the accuracy of the information is quite high as many people edit them and insert their parts or removing wrong information.

Blog AGAIN and AGAIN~
Twitter is a very useful due to the convenience of the application. With Twitter, I will always be updated with the latest information or notice from teachers and other students. I can also add people with the same topic as me to Twitter and we can share information that we find or talk about our opinion about our topics and that make it very useful.
Compared to blog which can only be updated through computer. Blogs are in a way more detailed and more words can be written but it is not as convenient Twitter which can be use anywhere. So i think Twitter is better because there is lesser and lesser time more us to do stuffs due to tight study schedule and projects so with Twitter I think we can spend more time doing stuffs.
Twitter and Blogspot can help me to keep in touch with the latest news and information about the topic that I am researching. The evaluation criteria that I use to evaluate the multimedia websites are Presentation and Arrangement, Usability, Currency and Authority.
The reason why I use Presentation and Arrangement to evaluate is because if the pictures are not presented and arranged in a manner that capture attention it will beat the purpose of setting up a website that provides information and encourage people to go to their country.
The reason why I use Usability to evaluate is because if it is difficult to navigate around the source to locate information people will find it hard to use and they will use another website that is easier to use.
The reason why I use Currency to evaluate is because if the information is out-of-date then the information will be useless as things will be different from what the people expects. So it is important to check if the information is up-to-date.
The reason why I use Authority to evaluate is because if a person with a good reputation writes the website people will tend to trust it more.
The reason as why i pick Greece as my dream holiday destination is because of the culture and amazing beaches that are there. The architecture there is really amazing too! There is also lots of island there that are popular such as Crete and Rhodes .

The criteria that i used to evaluate Stomp.com are purpose, coverage, authority, accuracy and currency.
As Stomp.com is a information providing site, by using purpose it to see if it had met it purpose of providing information. By using coverage is the check if the Stomp.com covered a wide range of news.
By using authority we can check if the news that it provides are creditable.
By using accuracy we can check if the news that it provides are real and not something made up stories.
By using currency we can check if the news is up-to-date or something that happens a few years ago.
In this lesson i have learnt that even though we can find lots of results online that doesnt mean all those results can be used so by using this evaluation method i can ensure that the results that i get is what i want
I will apply citizen journalism different by having people that are related and people involved in the tsunami to write them instead of people from different specialization.
The services that i will include is a rating system that readers can rate and comment on the topic to see if it is relevant or not. There will also be a system to compare topics written in order to get an unbiased piece of information.

In my opinion, it is more effective to search in databases then using search engine, meta-search engine or subject directories because it give reliable and up-to-date information as it is maintain most of the time by government. However, databases are not free most of the time and a fee is needed to access to it. In short databases have all the advantage of search engines, meta-search engines and subject directories. The only bad thing about databases is that it is not free.
In my case, if the project need to be very detailed i will use databases for my research. It really save lots of my time because information in databases are very detailed and written by professional in that particular subject. But if the project that i have do not need to be very detailed i do not feel it is necessary to use databases as there is a need to pay.

By using different search facilities other then search engine have allowed me to search for information easier.
One of the new ways to search for information is by using the meta-search engine.
Meta-search engine is a type of search engine that transmit search terms to the various search engines. By doing this it can show more relevant information as sometimes the ranking on each search engine is different.
The benefits that I get when using meta-search engines for my topic is that it provide lesser irrelevant information then the search engine and this will have save time for my research
Search directory is a type of search facilities where the information is categorize into different topics such as sports, science, technology and etc. This is compile by human so the relevance of the information shown is very accurate.
The benefits that i get from the search directory is that there is no need to watch out for any irrelevant information as everything is compile and categorize neatly into a page.
When I use site feeds on my blog it really save time when I want to browse through my friends blogs or be updated with what they are writing. So it really saves time as i do not need to remember their blog URL.
The thing i like best about collaborating on wiki with student from other class is that stuffs that I usually missed or think that it is not important are written down by the other students. And this will let me learn more about the mistakes that i made and when sometimes the information that i write is not valid students from other class will help me to edit. So the best thing that i like about collaborating is that the student from other class and i will look out for each other in that sense..

| The people I met! The best about this virtual experience that I cannot experience in real-life is the vast amount of things that I can look at and try on without having to wait or finding the size of shirt and pants. Everything that I want to try on happen instantly and I can try alot more clothes then in real life. The accessibility of the virtual world is amazing, in the real-world I will need to wait for a bus to get to the shopping centre which will not confirm that the stuffs I wanted to buy will be there. So I feel the best about the virtual world is I save alot of time to get the stuffs I want. |
I have gained to ability to enjoy what's is on the virtual world more, I did not know anything about Second Life and the things it offers until I did the E-learning. It really is a new thing to me cause I never thought that shopping on in the virtual world can be so fun.
The one most challenging experience that I had is the lag, which cause me to be a little bit upset. The lag was quite bad that I could not even move sometimes but shopping on the virtual world is still something interesting so it does not matter much.
